Flu claims another Central Albertan

Another central Albertan died from flu-related illness during the holiday season.

The latest numbers from Alberta Health Services show five deceased people in the Central Zone this season had lab-confirmed cases of influenza, one higher than the previous report from Dec. 20.

Alberta has seen 17 influenza-related deaths this season – seven in the Calgary, five in Central, four in Edmonton and one in North.
