Collision with truck sends pedestrians to hospital

Two people were taken to hospital for assessment following a collision between a truck and two pedestrians in downtown Red Deer Wednesday.

RCMP say it happened just before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gaetz Avenue and 50 (Ross) Street and resulted in traffic delays in the area for a short time.

Cpl. Michael Zufferli notes the intersection was busy at the time but adds the collision was not criminal in nature.
