Fundraising underway as 2 y/o girl battles leukemia
A fundraising page has been set up to support the family of a two-year-old girl recently diagnosed with leukemia.
On Sunday, November 18th, Maici and Jason Lefebvre were given the kind of news that no parent ever wants to hear… your child has cancer.
Friends say Zoe Lefebvre had been complaining over the last six months about body pain. Her parents Maici and Jason thought it was a simple wheat intolerance as they had reintroduced wheat to her two weeks ago earlier. But on Saturday, November 17, Zoe had a very bad tummy ache and was up all night.
Zoe was taken to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Emergency Department where blood tests revealed abnormal cells, low platelets and a low red blood cell count, Doctors told the Lefebvres it was possible Zoe had leukemia.
