Canada Post facility evacuated for suspicious substance

RED DEER- A suspicious white powder led to the evacuation of the Canada Post Distribution Centre on 67A Street early this morning.
RCMP and Emergency Services were called in at about 5:15 a.m. after the substance was discovered found on several packages at the facility. The building was evacuated as a precaution.
Police cleared the scene and it was determined that the powder on the packages was not dangerous. Postal workers were allowed back in around 7 a.m.
It’s not known yet what the powder was.
