Man killed in collision near Airdrie

One person is dead following a crash near Airdrie Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators were first called to the fatal two-vehicle collision around 1:40 p.m. on Highway 567 between Range Roads 284 and 285.

RCMP Corporal Gina Slaney semi-trailer truck and an SUV collided.

“The semi was in the ditch at the time, our members attended and the lone male occupant of the smaller vehicle was rushed to the Foothills Hospital in Calgary.”
