Dog that fatally mauled Calgary area woman put down

CALGARY – RCMP say a dog that fatally mauled a Calgary-area woman has been euthanized.
Lisa Lloyd, 50, died after being attacked by her dog on Sept. 13 on a rural property near Langdon.
She suffered fatal injuries trying stop the boxer-pit bull cross from attacking her two-year-old granddaughter.
Police say the animal was put down with the approval of the family following the completion of a 10-day quarantine period.
