Clearwater County Rural Beautification Award winners announced

The winners of the Clearwater County Rural Beautification Awards have been announced.

The award celebrates landowners who have put in extra effort to make their properties look outstanding.

Nominations closed July 27 and an award competition was held on August 3 to choose the winners.

Five judges representing the horticultural, landscape, agriculture and media industries toured each nominated property.

Winners were chosen in four different categories. Roger and Bonita Bott won in the Working Farm category, Gene and Donna Nochols won in the retired farm category, Miles and Carmen Jensen won in the Acreage over 15 years category and Mike Day and Shelley Summervill won in the Acreage under 15 years category.

Recipients receive a large oval cast aluminum plaque valued at roughly $375, which will be presented at the Rocky Ag Society Banquet in April 2019.
