CALGARY- The family of a German tourist who is recovering after being shot in the head while driving west of Calgary last week is thanking everyone who has offered support and donations.
In a statement sent through the German consulate, the family of the 60-year-old man also thanked police, ambulance, hospital staff, hotel staff and the Alberta government.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help raise money for the family’s expenses while they stay in Canada.
RCMP arrested a man and a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting was seized from a home in Cochrane on Friday afternoon, but he was released on Saturday and no charges were laid.
