Single vehicle rollover in west country sends two to hospital

Two people were taken to hospital with what police describe as serious but non-life threatening injuries after a single vehicle rollover about 60 kms southwest of Nordegg Tuesday night.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. when Rocky Mountain House RCMP say an eastbound Dodge Durango travelling on Highway 11 near the Preachers Point Staging Area, left the road at a curve in the road and rolled several times before coming to rest on its wheels.

Mounties say both occupants, a 43-year-old woman and nine-year-old boy were taken by ground ambulance to hospital in Rocky Mountain House.

No names have been released with police not anticipating to lay any charges.
