McKinlay takes solo lead at Canadian Junior Boys Golf Championship
Lacombe’s Brady McKinlay sits alone atop the leader board through two rounds at the Canadian Junior Boys Golf Championship.
McKinlay posted an even-par 71 during the second round at Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. He recovered from a double bogey on the back-nine with an eagle on the 18th hole and is minus-three for the tournament.
Ontario golfers Bennett Ruby and Cam Kellett are each tied for second place, two shots back of McKinlay.
Chandler McDowell of Red Deer Golf and Country Club, the reigning Alberta provincial junior champion, moved into a tie for fourth place with a solid second round score of 69. McDowell is even par through two rounds.
