Weapons and drugs seized in Wetaskiwin search warrant

A central Alberta man is facing numerous charges after RCMP seized  multiple tasers, an air pistol, bear spray, cocaine, cannabis and a significant amount of cash from a Wetaskiwin residence June 21.

The search was conducted by the Maskwacis RCMP Community Response Unit and Wetaskiwin RCMP Integrated Crime Reduction Unit.

Charged is 65-year-old Ivan Schell of Wetaskiwin who faces six counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Schell was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released on numerous conditions. He is to appear in Wetaskiwin Court July 17.
