Man accused of killing mother has charges stayed

Charges have been stayed against a Maskwacis man accused of killing his mother.

A preliminary scheduled had been scheduled for last week in Wetaskiwin for 26-year-old Scott Ermineskin.

He was charged with manslaughter and indignity to a human body in relation to the death of Sharon Ermineskin, who was found dead in her home on the Ermineskin First Nation on July 3, 2015.

While rare, Crown prosecutors have one year to revive the stayed charges.
