Dangerous dog captured and put down

GRANDE PRAIRIE- RCMP say a pit bull that had been at-large since attacking a woman earlier this month has been found and euthanized.

Mounties say the dog, named Casanova, was spotted in a Grande Prairie neighbourhood early Saturday morning, and was in a yard when officers arrived.

They say the dog was behaving aggressively and was put down in the interest of public safety.

A woman who was walking her two small dogs on June 5 was bitten by two pit bulls.
