Woman seriously injured in Penhold fire

PENHOLD- Penhold Fire and EMS members were called to a home on Augustus Way shortly after noon on Thursday for a report of a person suffering from burns.

A woman was transported to hospital in Red Deer in life-threatening condition.

The fire was started near a medical appliance and was contained to the immediate area.

There were no other injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
