Calgary man dies rock climbing in Kananaskis

KANANASKIS- RCMP say a man from Calgary has died in a climbing accident in Kananaskis Country.

Late Sunday afternoon Mounties responded to help Alberta Parks after a man fell while climbing near Rawson Lake in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park.

Police say he stumbled on ice and snow, and fell about 15 metres.

The 58-year old man died of his injuries.

His name has not been released and no further details have been provided.
