Controversial RV resort for Buffalo Lake scaled down, moving ahead
A compromise has been reached regarding a massive RV resort proposed for Buffalo Lake.
Following the conclusion of a dispute resolution process, RV Sites Canada has agreed to reduce the size of the proposed development from 1,000 lots to 750. The density of the original proposal had drawn the ire of the Summer Villages of Rochon Sands and White Sands.
The revised application will be presented to County of Stettler council today [May 9] for second reading.
“On behalf of our entire RV Sites Team, we are pleased to be moving forward to opening on time,” said developer Dave Hamm. “We are thankful for the recommendation to the Summer Villages to drop their disputes with the County. The meeting was professional and productive.”
