Pipeline rally Saturday in Red Deer

A rally in support of pipeline construction is set to take place this Saturday in Red Deer.

The group Rally 4 Resources says it is calling on Central Albertans, UCP members and politicians to come out and show support for the Trans Mountain expansion project.

Saturday’s rally in Red Deer goes at noon at the northeast corner of Gaetz Ave. and 32 Street, near the Sheraton hotel where the UCP is holding its Founding AGM this weekend.

“This event is not about any one political party,” organizers say on Facebook. “It is asking that all politicians of all political stripes stand up and be vocal on behalf of the tens of thousands of men and women who work in the industry.”
