UCP to announce new Innisfail – Sylvan Lake candidate next week
An announcement will come next week on who will represent the United Conservative Party in the upcoming Innisfail-Sylvan Lake by-election.
A nomination process is currently underway to replace Don MacIntyre who resigned on February 5 following charges of sexual interference and sexual assault coming to light.
There are seven candidates running to replace him including Christine Moore, Devin Dreeshen, Joan Barnes, Gayle Langford, Victor Sloboda, Josh Loh and Mike Walsh.
Party members in the constituency will cast their ballots for the new candidate starting tomorrow (April 28) from 10:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Delburne Curling Rink, and from 3:15 – 7:15 p.m. at the Lions Hall in Sylvan Lake. They will also vote on Wednesday, May 2 from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Penhold Regional Multiplex.
