Wetaskiwin man charged with sexual assault, child luring
A Wetaskiwin man is facing 10 charges related to sexual assault following reports that three female youth may have been involved in child exploitation.
In a release, RCMP say an investigation identified three teenagers as “victims of sexual encounters.”
The 47-year-old man faces four counts each of sexual interference and sexual assault, and one count each of obtaining sexual services for consideration and luring a child.
RCMP said the man will not be identified in an effort to protect the identity of any victims. He has been released on court documents, with substantial conditions and is scheduled to appear in court. A date for his next court appearance has not been released.
