An Alberta man who survived a machete attack says he thought it was a Halloween joke when two balaclava-wearing assailants showed up at his door.
Brian Warman lost two toes and suffered injuries to his legs, shoulder and head in the November 1 invasion at his home in Alix, east of Red Deer.
He says the two masked men escaped with his TV, some marijuana and a bit of cash after attacking him.
Police say the incident appears to have been targeted and there is likely no risk to others in the neighbourhood.
