Red Deer man pleads guilty to murdering two women near Lloydminster two years apart

A Red Deer man has pleaded guilty to the murders of two women in east central Alberta dating back to a decade ago.
The body of Jeanette Chief, 48, was found in a river near Lloydminster in June 2007.
Violet Heathen, 49, was last seen in the Lloydminster-area in May 2009. Her remains were found six months later in a rural area near Kitscoty.
In March 2016, RCMP arrested Gordon Alfred Rogers, 61, and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder.
