$12K worth of cocaine seized in traffic stop

A local 21-year-old man faces drug related charges after police seized $12,000 worth of cocaine.
On August 29, RCMP stopped a suspended driver after he was speeding on Highway 22 en route to Rocky Mountain House.
The male was arrested and police seized a large quantity of cocaine valued at over $12,000, a substantial amount of cash and a prohibited weapon.
The accused has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of marihuana, possession of a prohibited weapon and driving while unauthorized.
The man is due to appear in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on Sept. 20.
