Motorcyclist dies after crashing into city transit bus

A motorcyclist is dead after the bike he was riding crashed into the back of a Red Deer city transit bus Wednesday night.

The crash happened at about 11 p.m. on 67 Street at the 59 Avenue intersection.

RCMP say the bus was stopped at a red light when it was struck from behind by the motorcycle.

The bus driver and a passerby with medical training gave help to the 56-year-old man until medical assistance arrived. The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
