Suspicious death in Wetaskiwin

What police are calling a “suspicious death” is being investigated in Wetaskiwin. 

Mounties were called last night at approximately 10:27 p.m. to a disturbance at a home where a teenaged male was found seriously injured. The teen was later pronounced dead at the Wetaskiwin Hospital.

A short time later an adult male was located in front of the Wetaskiwin RCMP Detachment suffering from non-life threatening injuries and who was taken to hospital where he remains in police custody.

Wetaskiwin RCMP and the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit are investigating. Police are not seeking any other persons in relation to this investigation.
