Duffin wins Lacombe junior open in playoff

Red Deer’s Cam Duffin won a three-way playoff to take the title at Wednesday’s Jordan Brand Memorial Junior Open at the Lacombe Golf and Country Club.
The tournament was the latest stop on the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour.
Duffin, Arthur Deng of Calgary, and Tyler Watt of Innisfail each fired rounds of 3-over par 74 to force the playoff, which Duffin won on the first hole.
Tanner Smith of Red Deer finished one shot back in fourth place with a 75. Lacombe’s Chase Broderson tied for sixth with a 79. Jace Ouelette tied for ninth with a round of 80.
