Future hazy for medical marijuana facility proposed for Pine Lake area
Red Deer County’s Municipal Planning Commission was to address a medical marijuana facility proposed for the Pine Lake area on Tuesday.
But at the last minute, those plans went up in smoke.
Agrafina Corporation, a family-run Calgary-based company is seeking to build a 53,000-square-foot medical marijuana facility on a piece of land about 30 kilometres east of Innisfail.
However, their application was pulled from Tuesday’s MPC agenda just prior to the start of their meeting at the company’s request. No explanation was given as to why.
