Red Deer Mayor Tara Veer accepts challenge from Nenshi
Three things – that’s all Red Deer’s mayor is challenging residents to do for Canada 150.
In fact, Tara Veer is accepting a challenge from His Worship Naheed Nenshi, Mayor of Calgary who recently launched what’s called ‘3 Things for Canada.’
The challenge asks Canadians to do three things — one for your neighbourhood, one for your nation and one for the world some time in 2017.
“Three Things for Canada involves acts of service that you can do to make your community, your city, and your country a better place, something that I know Red Deerians are already so good at,” said Veer. “So for Canada’s birthday, Red Deer city council and I are encouraging our fellow Red Deerians in joining us to do or give three things, large or small, in support of Canada 150”.
