Local dealer donates new vehicle to Lacombe Police

Lacombe Ford has stepped up to help its city’s police service.

The Ford dealer has generously donated a 2017 Ford Explorer to LPS for use by the detachment’s School Resource Officer.

The vehicle is a fully-equipped police unit, which will assist SRO Cst. Jeff Hewitt perform his duties and deliver service to schools and the community, according to a release.

Chief Lorne Blumhagen says, “We would like to thank Lacombe Ford for all the support they have provided over the years, not only to the police service, but to the community as a whole.”
