CALGARY- Rescuers managed to get 45 frightened children to safety before the school bus they were on burst into flames in the parking lot of a Calgary strip mall.
Witnesses say the children were screaming prior to the bus catching fire yesterday afternoon after it appeared to overheat.
The front of the vehicle erupted in flames soon after the evacuation, causing extensive damage.
A 10-year-old boy complained of smoke inhalation and was assessed by paramedics before he was released to his parents.
