University of Lethbridge receives funding to study methane gas emissions in cattle

LETHBRIDGE -   Everyone is aware of the heightened attention to green house gas emissions.  Usually, the concern is over the process of extracting energy and what comes out of the backend of a vehicle. 
 
Now, Ottawa has turned its sights to the back end of cows.

Southern Alberta shaken by Montana earthquake

LETHBRIDGE -  Residents in southern Alberta experienced something rather unusual last night.

Heavy shaking could be felt in the Lethbridge area at around 12:30 a.m. as a result of an earthquake originating in Montana.

Jim Pattison donates $50M to Saskatchewan Children's Hospital

SASKATOON - Canadian businessman and philanthropist Jim Pattison, has made another significant donation to health care in western Canada. 

This time, it's $50 million to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.

Alberta Progressive Conservatives launch leadership race in Lethbridge

LETHRBRIDGE -   The race for the next leader of Alberta's Progressive Conservative party was rolled out Saturday night in Lethbridge.

To date, there are four contenders, however, party officials expect there could be several more added by the time nominations close on November 18th.
