It was a sixth place finish for the Men’s U18 Central Alberta Kings Volleyball Club at the second premier of the season held in Edmonton over the weekend.

Team officials say the Kings lost their first round-robin match in three sets Saturday morning against the East Kootenay Volleyball Club, then went on to win their next match in three sets against the Grande Prairie U17 Club.

Later, they defeated the Calgary Elite West U18 Club in three sets to finish first in their round-robin play.

On Sunday, the Kings lost their quarter-final match to the Northern Alberta Volleyball U17 Club from Edmonton but rebounded in their second match by downing the Northern Alberta Volleyball U18 Club from Edmonton in three sets.

The last match of the day saw the Kings lose to Calgary Elite West again, dropping both sets to finish sixth place overall.
