UPDATE: Chris Cattrall, missing Lacombe County man, found deceased

LACOMBE COUNTY – The search for a missing Lacombe County man has come to a sad end.

Actress Kim Cattrall posted a Tweet Sunday afternoon saying her brother, Chris Cattrall, has died.

“It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall,” she wrote.

“At this time we ask for privacy. We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time,” she added.

Chris Cattrall, who was 55, was believed to be at home when he was last heard from on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Police said in a news release that Cattrall’s body was found on his property.

“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death will continue by the RCMP, but preliminary information indicates that his death is not being considered suspicious,” RCMP said in the release.

Police said they would not be commenting further on the case out of respect for the family.
