Westerner Park increasing parking fees

It’ll soon cost drivers a bit more to park their vehicle while visiting Westerner Park.

Starting September 1, visitors will see a $1 increase from $5 to $6.

Discounted three-day, two-day and single entry passes are also available. 

Officials with Westerner Park say parking fees help them cover ongoing maintenance of the parking facilities, including lighting, snow removal and security patrolling during paid parking times. 

Parking on the grounds for 30 minutes or less will remain free. Each entrant must pay at the gate and will receive a date and time stamped receipt. By showing the time stamped receipt at the exit within thirty minutes, the parking attendant can provide a refund.
