Red Deer gets new non-emergency police phone number

Nov 8, 2022 | 11:39 AM

In case of a non-emergency, but in need of police assistance, Red Deerians and visitors to the city will now have to call a different number.

The new number is 403-406-2200.

The old number was 403-343-5575.

The non-emergency line should be used in the following situations:

  • Reporting a crime that is not in progress
  • Suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities
  • Noise complaints involving loud music or parties

Remember to always call 9-1-1 if the crime is in progress, or in situations where an immediate response from police is required.

Red Deerians can also use the online crime reporting option for crimes not in progress, available at www.reddeer.ca/rcmp.

To report bylaw complaints, please use The City of Red Deer’s central bylaw line 403-406-8766. For more details about who to call for enforcement, please visit reddeer.ca/enforcement.
