Football Alberta weekly high school rankings

Sep 26, 2021 | 10:47 AM

Here are the Weekly Top-10 Rankings for all four tiers of 12-man high school football in Alberta and the 6-man rankings as well for the 2021 season.

These rankings come out every Sunday until November 7. At that time, those will be the last rankings and teams will take this rank into Provincials.

Teams are slotted into tiers based on their estimated school size, which may change once official counts are known at the end of September. Please note that games vs. US opponents, scrimmages, or tournaments are not taken into consideration for ranking or listed in the overall record of the schools.

Should you have any questions about the rankings or listed teams, please contact Football Alberta at (780)427-8108 or check out our website at www.footballalberta.ab.ca.

GAME(S) OF THE WEEK:

6-Man

#1 J.C. Charyk Hawks at #2 Rimbey Spartans

5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, Rimbey High School (Rimbey)

The Hawks of Hanna are on the hunt again. They are the still two-time defending champions at the 6-Man Level having won it all in in 2018 and 2019 before the COVID break last season wiped out their 2020 season. Still, they haven’t missed a beat and are 2-0 with a bullet coming out of the gates. Facing them is another of the traditional powers at the 6-Man level in the Rimbey Spartans who are also winners of three Provincial Titles themselves in 2013, 2014, and 2017 and are also undefeated so far.
