U19B Rage win provincial championship

The Aesthetic Solutions U19B Rage Fastball team are the 2018 Provincial Champions. 

After a dismal day two in the cold & wind, dropping two games, Rage only finished 3rd in their round Robin pool.  This placed them in the difficult position of having to win 3 back to back games on playoff Sunday.  

They faced the Matrix out of Lacombe in the morning.  Rage bats were alive collecting 12 hits in the game.  Game was ended in the fifth inning at a score of 9-2. Alli Vesely was perfect at the plate going 3 for 3.  

Next up was the Irma Tigers in the semi-final. This was a rematch of the round Robin game where Irma hammered Rage 9-2.  This time it was the pitching prowess of Hollie Vincent that proved too tough to beat. She pitched all 7 innings with no walks and 5 strikeouts to shut out the Tigers 4-0. Collectively Rage had no errors.

The Championship match up was Rage vs. Central Alberta Impact from Clive. Rage scored multiple runs in numerous innings to overtake the Impact 9-6 bringing the Gold Medal home to Red Deer.

By finishing first Rage now qualifies for Western Canadian U19 Championships in Unity, Saskatchewan on the August long weekend.
