Cota, Gurney named RDC Athletics athletes of the week

Jordanna Cota – Queens Cross-Country Running
Hometown – Red Deer, AB
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) (5th year)
Jordanna Cota had an excellent performance at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Cross-Country Running Championships. Cota (24:13.03) continued to dominate the field of ACAC female runners and earned individual gold along with team gold. The Bachelor of Science (Nursing) student was named the ACAC Female Cross-Country Runner of the Year and a member of the ACAC Women’s Cross-Country Running All-Conference team. The fifth-year student-athlete has remarkably earned first place in every ACAC competition that she has competed in this season. Cota, along with the RDC Queens, will compete at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Cross-Country Running National Championships in Blainville, Quebec on November 11, 2017.
