UPDATE: RCMP locate Ponoka man wanted for assault, sexual assault and forcible confinement

Ponoka RCMP say Mark Carr was arrested without incident Sunday afternoon.  A court date is pending.
 

Ponoka Mounties are searching for a wanted man.

Mark Carr, 37, is charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement, assault and uttering threats in relation to an investigation that began on Friday. 

RCMP carried out a search of a property owned by Carr late Saturday night in the area of 51 Street in Ponoka. The K-Division Emergency Response Team was there several hours, wrapping up with their search at around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Police say Carr was not located during the search. They add he should not be approached if spotted.
