It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in central Alberta

Thousands of central Albertans became reacquainted with their shovels over the weekend following snowfall up to 15 centimetres in local areas.

A unique open house on Saturday in Clearview Meadows raised money for the Central Alberta Humane Society.

Vince Jackman and Tom Kereluk have decorated their home for more than a decade now with a smorgasbord of unique Christmas trees, 105 to be exact this year.

Sanding crews working to keep Red Deer roads safe

There are a lot of roads in Red Deer to take care of after a snowfall and The City wants you to know they’re doing the best they can.

There are 17 trucks and a crew of 40 who work to produce brine, load the sand and then head out onto Red Deer’s streets in a bid to make them safe.
