Mr Wilhelmus Johannes of Red Deer County Passed away at the Hamlets at Red Deer, in Red Deer County on January 23, 2025 at the age of 90 years. Wilhelmus was born on September 25, 1934 at Eemnes, The Netherlands. He was united in marriage with Petronella de Gooijer on May 27, 1959.

The family moved to the Red Deer Area in 1976. Wilhelmus owned a successful international transportation business in the Netherlands, which he built up with his wife Nelly, as well as a farm, and actively farmed in the Red Deer area.

Wilhelmus is survived by Remy, his partner since 1999, daughter Corine Boutrup (John), sons Jan (Tracy), Kees (Heather), grandsons Casey (Nairn) and Derrick Boutrup and Ricky Stalenhoef, granddaughters Nellissa Stalenhoef and Jessica Stalenhoef, Remy’s children Kristine (Jesse), Jeff (Karla) and grandchildren Kaylie and Johann, and great-granddaughters Malina and Parker Boutrup,and brother Jan Stalenhoef.

He was predeceased by his wife Petronella and his grandson William Stalenhoef, his parents Cornelis and Cornelia Stalenhoef and 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at St. Mary’s Parish at 1:00p.m.  with burial and reception to follow.
