Wesley Chase of Innisfail, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Hospital on January 5th, 2024, at the age of 78.
Wes was born on July 12, 1945 in Unity, Saskatchewan, and stayed there to farm for many years. On December 6 of 1968, Wes married his match, Donna, and together they built a home and a life for 55 years. In that time, they welcomed two daughters, two sons-in-law, four grandchildren, and a long trail of wonderful friends. In 1999, Wes and Donna Relocated to Innisfail, Alberta, where Wes continued to enjoy ranch work. He attempted to semi-retire, but really just transitioned into carpentry. While Wes was an avid outdoorsman, enthusiastic cattleman, faithful friend, and most of all a devoted husband and father, his greatest love in life was his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. To this end, we rejoice that he is no longer suffering and finally at home in the arms of Jesus.
Wes will be lovingly remembered by his wife Donna Chase; daughters Treena (Trent) Baker, and Colleen (Greg) Hunter; grandchildren Garrett, Paige, Tyson, and Courtney; and by his brother Jim (Noella) Chase. He was predeceased by his birth mother Catherine Chase; parents Harold and Madeline Chase; and by his brother Ken Chase.
A service to celebrate Wes’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Share Word Global, formerly Gideons Canada. Condolences to Wes’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Chase” in the subject line.
