Wayne Emil Hermary, a son, uncle and grand uncle, passed away on April 13, 2024, in his hometown of Red Deer. He was born on November 19, 1958. Growing up on an acreage near Red Deer, Wayne shared his childhood with his mother Phyllis (later remarried to Dan) Lawrence; father Emile Hermary; brother Cyril (Rose) Hermary; sister Patricia (Paul) St. Arnaud and brother Darcy (Lisa) Hermary. He was preceded in death by his brother Lloyd Hermary, who left this world at birth leaving a void that was felt deeply by his parents.
Wayne was a loved uncle and grand uncle to Travis (Brandi) Hermary and their son Karsen; Christopher Hermary, Natasha Hermary, Tessa St Arnaud, Jessie Ek (Kevin Schnell) and their sons Rydan and Austin Schnell, and Melissa Hermary. Wayne will be truly missed by his family, extended family and friends.
Wayne worked and played at many things in his life including being a Head Drummer for Red Deer Royals Band as well as concert, movie and cat lover. While attending Camille J. LeRouge High School in Red Deer, Wayne enjoyed playing football. He put many miles on as a professional driver for many commercial companies including various construction companies and parcel delivery services. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed playing bingo and casino games enjoying them with the finest.
His hardest adventure was dealing with the chronic Parkinson’s Disease on a day-to-day basis for many years that became progressively worse over time. A special thank you to all who cared for Wayne during his time with Parkinsons. The love and care are greatly appreciated.
In following with Waynes wishes, no service will be held. We will always remember Wayne moving to the beat of the music and life!
