It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Walter Jamieson, of Red Deer Alberta and formerly of Bathurst, New Brunswick, on Monday, May 23, 2022, at the age of 75.
Walter was born August 7th, 1946 and was the son of Duncan and Ida (nee Doull) Jamieson. Walter will be missed by Daughter Kim (Joe) Henry, of Grande Prairie, Alberta, and son Troy Jamieson of Fort McMurray, Alberta and the mother of his children Helen Riordon.
He is survived by four grandchildren: Callum (Kelly) Henry, Kieran (Ariana) Henry and Charlize (Alex) Henry of Grande Prairie Alberta and Brooke (Brandon) Jamieson of Bathurst New Brunswick. Walter is also survived by Hubert (Donna) Doull of Florida and Ernie (Connie) Doull of Ontario.
Over the years, Walter could be found cheering on his grandchildren at hockey rinks in many provinces. He always made the effort to return and participate in graduations and celebrations of his grandchildren. He loved them all. There are far too many people that knew and loved Walter. To even attempt to mention them would be unfair. He was a good man and loved by so many!
Walter lived and worked in many places. In recent years, Walter resided in Red Deer, Alberta, where he was a very active member of Al Azar Shrine, Beacon Lodge 190, Order of Eastern Stars, and Central Valley of Perfection. Walter loved to work and drive the Tin Lizzies and volunteered whenever needed. Walter cared deeply for his Masonic family and Walter’s family is eternally grateful for the support shown to them.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Walter will be celebrated and remembered at a later date to be announced.
