In Loving Memory of Wade Thomas Potter
Peacefully, on Tuesday December 21, 2021, Wade passed away while surrounded by his family and love in his Red Deer home.
He was predeceased by his father, Dennis. Wade will be lovingly remembered by his mother Judy (Ken), brothers Kevin (Lisa) and Lee (Lynn), partner Karla, daughter Jessica (Tyler), son Braden, grandson Ryder, and his children’s mother Tammy, in addition to several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends, some of whom were like blood to Wade.
Wade had a passion for NASCAR, hockey, music, classic cars, golfing and traveling, particularly to Vegas for NASCAR. He also held great pleasure in coaching his children’s soccer and hockey games, as well as spending time with his new grandson.
Wade worked in the oil and gas industry the majority of his adult life, being a founding partner and principal of a local and successful oil service company based out of Red Deer. Wade sold his half of the business to his partner in the spring of 2020 and was enjoying partial retirement when he became ill.
The family is grateful to the Red Deer Home Care and Palliative teams for their compassion, guidance and service, as well as the various health care teams involved.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date, yet to be determined.
Memorial donations may be made on behalf of Wade to a charity of one’s choice.
