Verla Marlene Haight of Erskine AB passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on September 28, 2018 at the age of 78 years. Verla was born in Kenaston SK. She attended Blue Hills Country School and later attended Hanley High School where she met her husband Gerald. Verla, Gerald moved to the Erskine area of Alberta in 1960. Verla loved her community, enjoyed nature, her gardens, valued pets but most importantly, her family. Verla is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Gerald; children Ken (Sharon); Dianne; Gayle (Ben); grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Verla’s life will be held at the Nevis Community Hall (on Highway 12, 8 km east of Erskine), on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
