Ty Skjonsberg

1978 – 2022

In is with deep sorrow that the family of Ty Thomas Skjonsberg announce his peaceful passing on August 07, 2022, at the age of 44.

Ty is lovingly remembered and survived by his common-law spouse of 16 years, Valerie Ewashko, his son Kyler Ty Skjonsberg, his father Tom (Trudy), Brother Lee (Krista), stepbrother Ken Boser (Farrell), nephews Dominic, Carter and Logan and niece Mackenna; Shana (Brycen) Tymchatyn and his furry friends Griffin, Tiger, Thiago and Thor.  Ty is predeceased by his mother, Sonnia Emily Skjonsberg, his chicken Gertrude and his dog Stewy.  He will be terribly missed by all of those who loved him and knew him well.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Red Deer Memorial Center, 4214 – 58 Street on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 5:30p.m., followed by a farewell to Ty at Tiffany’s Steakhouse, 3515 Gaetz Avenue, at 9p.m.

The family is asking everyone to bring pictures of their time with Ty to hang on a board as a tribute to Ty’s family.  Memorial donations can be made to the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation (cardiology unit) in honour of Ty Thomas Skjonsberg and Victim Services.
