It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Anthony “Tony” Joseph Simon Scahfer, 81 years old, and Chery Eleanor Schafer, 76 years old, on October 11, 2023.

Our hearts are broken with the loss of a devoted dad, mom, proud grandpa & grandma, a loving brother & sister, a fun uncle & aunt, a caring cousin, and a true friend.

Tony and Cheryl loved to travel all over the world, they cherished time visiting with family and friends and they absolutely loved to brag about their kids and their grandkids.

They are survived by their children Tracy & Crystal Schafer, Tina Schafer, Rodger & Jenn Green, Dale & Emily Green, and Kim & Mike Moxness. Grandchildren Josh, Eve, Lea, Tani (Lars), Kruz, Garnett, Miranda, Katie (John), and Aly, along with their extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Eckville Community Hall on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta. # 306, 10430 61 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta T6H 2J3
