1969 – 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Marie Hagg on September 13, 2026, at the age of 57.
Tammy was born on July 19, 1969, in Red Deer, Alberta, the eldest child of Gary and Linda Hagg. She grew up on the family farm south of Red Deer in the Hill End district. She attended John Wilson Elementary School and Innisfail Junior High before completing her high school education at River Glen School in Red Deer.
In 1991, Tammy welcomed her son, Cody, into the world, who would become the light of her life. Becoming a mother was one of the most meaningful chapters of Tammy’s life, and the bond she shared with her son remained incredibly important to her throughout the years.
Tammy graduated from the LPN program in 1994 and went on to work at the Red Deer Nursing Home and Lacombe Hospital. Through her work, Tammy had the opportunity to care for others, reflecting the loving and compassionate nature that those who knew her experienced throughout her life.
Tammy was a loving and caring person who had a wonderful sense of humour and truly loved to laugh. She found happiness in the simple things in life and had a gentle way of enjoying the moments that mattered most. She loved making jewelry, curling up with a good book, and taking care of the animals she loved so dearly.
For the past two years, Tammy resided with her mother, Linda, and their two dogs, Karma and Rollie. During this time, Tammy and Linda were able to spend valuable time together, strengthening their bond and creating many meaningful memories. Some of their most special moments were found in the simple things they shared, including reading the Bible side by side, listening to special meetings, and laughing at the dogs. These moments together will be treasured by Linda and the entire family for years to come.
Tammy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her son, Cody Hagg; her mother, Linda Hagg; her sisters, Ashlea Cummerford and Jody Mcchesney (Brad); her nephews Owen, Teagan, Cole, and Justus; and her nieces Brooklyn, Randi, Presley, and Briella.
She was predeceased by her father, Gary, in 2001, and her nephew, Teddy, in 2002.
Tammy leaves behind a lifetime of memories in the hearts of the people who loved her. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her laughter, her compassion, and the joy she found in the people, animals, and the simple moments that meant the most to her.
A funeral service will be held on October 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Innisfail Legion. All are welcome to join. Condolences to Tammy’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Tammy Hagg” in the subject line.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
