It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Susan Minnie Tuff (King) on November 15, 2018 at Red Deer Hospital at 63 years of age. A child of God, Mom is survived by Randy, her loving husband of 37 years, three devoted children, Keith (Laura), Kristen (Cliff) and Sean (Steph), two beautiful grandchildren, Emery and Henry, and her cherished sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Golden, BC, Mom spent her childhood adventuring with family, friends and horses in the heart of her beloved mountains. Mom graduated from the University of Lethbridge to become a teacher, a profession that she loved. She had a true talent for making every student feel special and capable. Mom was a safe and loving place for anyone who came into her world. She could see beauty in anything and anyone. An artist, Mom had a knack for watercolours and enjoyed sharing her artistic eye with her family and friends.
Mom bought her first motorbike in her early 20s and loved cruising in the sunshine with Dad chasing behind her. She was a dedicated, loving wife and mother. Mom and Dad filled our childhoods with camping, playing, praying, crafts, sports and wonder. This is only a glimpse of a remarkable woman whose foundation in life was her faith as a believer of Christ, and though we are heartbroken that she is no longer with us, we are comforted that she is at peace in the embrace our heavenly Father.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at CrossRoads Church, 38105 Range Road 275 (southwest corner of 32 Street and Highway 2), Red Deer County (use southeast chapel doors). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre, 5116 – 47 Street, Red Deer AB, T4N 1R9. Condolences to the family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net.
