Stephen John Dickin
December 5, 1985 to December 7, 2023. 38 years old
Stephen died December 7th, 2023 in his home.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Linda and John; brother Adam and sister-in-law Lindsay; nephews Henry and Wyatt; aunts and uncles Roger and Robby, Janice and Fritz, Mark and Wendy, Jan, Bev and Dewayne, Glenda, Holly, Jim, Bonnie and Dave, Joyce and Grant, and Darren; Cousins Tanya, Clark, Leopold, Anatol, Shane, Connor, Sebastian, Nicole, Bryce, Jacob, Sam, Emma, and Nicholas; his friends ; and faithful cat Kisha.
Stephen has been predeceased by his Grandparents Lester and Teresa Robinson, Gordon and Jean Dickin; Uncle Guy; and his two faithful cats Joey and June.
Stephen was a Journeyman Electrician who worked for several large and small companies in Red Deer and Ontario and he also did electrical wiring for two music festivals. His most recent hobby incorporated his interest in music – making banjos from recycled bits and pieces. In addition, Stephen had numerous other hobbies and interests; He created and sold skateboards with a label of Stevie Dee Street Surf, had a real fascination with audio and electronic equipment in his home and truck, enjoyed bike riding, liked to work at the family farm with Uncle Jim, found time to practice yoga, and liked gardening in his back yard. He was a true craftsman in his working trade and his creative endeavors.
Despite some dark days and struggles which presented challenges in life, Stephen continued to maintain his trade and connections with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church, Red Deer, January 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Lunch to follow.
